Notes:
It may be difficult at times, if not impossible, to understand what I mean when I say things. Especially if you look through the archives. At some point soon I'll post a revised list of acronyms and terms from my time at Disneyland. In the meanwhile, the only difficulty you're likely to have is that I sometimes express time in 24-hour form (0100 or 2500 = 1:00AM, 1200 = 12 noon, 2930 = 9:30PM). If the (first two digits of the) number is (are) greater than 12, subtract 12 from it and add "PM" after it to get the right time. If the number is STILL greater than 12, subtract 12 again, and change the "PM" to "AM." If the number is under 12, just add "AM."

I may not end out being at a place or available online at the times I think I will be. This blog is primarily meant for my family and friends, who are spread across three continents, half a dozen states and provinces, and at least seven different time zones. Which reminds me to tell you that all times are set to Columbus, Ohio time (EST or EDT), except for those dated before 30 July 2004 (those are PST or PDT). So if you're in California and you're looking for me and it says I'll be online at, say, 2300/11pm, that means 8pm for you.

9 September (Tuesday) -- 1715-2200/Main Street Hats HW
11 September (Thursday) -- 1300-2130/Once Upon A Time HH

WHY, IT'S A SCHEDULE:Lookie, kids, I'm doing a better job, honestly I am.

NEXT WEEK:
11 August (Monday) -- 16:30-1:00/Critter RN (I am trying to move this to Thursday so I can make my rehearsal)
12 August (Tuesday) -- 16:30-1:00/Adv RN
13 August (Wednesday) -- 18:00-0:00/Mad Hatter HW
15 August (Friday) -- 13:00-21:30/NO Area RN
16 August (Saturday) -- 16:30-1:00/Mad Hatter HW

Just as an FYI, I'm very willing to shift-change with anyone who wants to. Remember that to take a RN shift you have to be a West side stock team member (if you've worked New Orleans, Critter, Adventure, or Frontier in the last year, you're probably okay) and that to take a HW shift you have to be a hat writer. I can work anytime except from 8:30pm to 11:30pm on Monday nights. All the usual scheduling rules apply (6th days, over 40 hours, 8 hour turnaround, etc.) Email me if you want to switch.

Blogger has improved itself. Not as good as the old system, and I still think it's ugly, but I can do 95% of what I could do before, with the same amount of work as before, and that's better than what I could say two weeks ago.

THIS WEEK:
8 July (Tuesday) -- 1730-0030/Once Upon A Time H/H
9 July (Wednesday) -- I am now rid of the Star Trader shift. I will be leaving for Hollywood around 2pm, to see Pirates of the Caribbean at 8pm!
10 July (Thursday) -- 1630-0100/Adventureland RN
11 July (Friday) -- 1730-0200/Adventureland RN
12 July (Saturday) -- 1545-2300/Small World Toys H/H

I. Hate. The new blogger. I HATE IT. It's stupid, it doesn't work as well as the old system, it makes you work twice as hard, and gives you half the feedback the old model did. If I cannot go back to the old format (or something that works as well, and looks MUCH BETTER than the idiot format they've got up now) I will be moving the SarahFinder within a month.

Having said that, here's my new schedule.

29 June (Sunday) -- 1700-0100/Star Trader HW
1 July (Tuesday) -- 1615-2015/Clothiers H/H
2 July (Wednesday) -- 1800-2300/Mad Hatter HW
4 July (Friday) -- 1730-0200/Adventureland RN
5 July (Saturday) -- 1730-0200/Adventureland RN

Fiiiinnnnaalllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy... sorry for putting this off, folks.

24 June 2003 (Tuesday) -- 1815-22:15/Mad Hatter HW
26 June 2003 (Thursday) -- 1630-0100/NO Area RN
27 June 2003 (Friday) -- 1730-0200/NO Area RN - H/H
28 June 2003 (Saturday) -- 1030-1900/Half Pipe Bay (Guest Control/DCA Golden State)

That last one is screwy, I know. Apparently during the Pirates premiere I'm going to be doing Guest Control in California Adventure, somewhere near the Grand Californian guest entrance (they get their own gate into the park). I'll post details when I get them. Also, please note the following change for tonight, Friday June 20th:

20 June 2003 (Friday) -- 1600-0300/Harry Potter release in Burbank (Barnes and Noble) WOOT!!!!!

I've started a trend!

Jackie of Inder, Lead Extraordinaire

Of course, it's only a trend in the sense that one of my good friends has done it too, after much cajoling on my part. Still, COOLIES!!!!!

New schedules came out last night... anyone think it's possible that I made the West Side stock team? (West side is Adventureland/Frontierland/New Orleans/Critter Country). New acronyms today are NO (New Orleans Square) and ST (Stock)

15 June 2003 (Sunday) -- 1630-0100/Frontierland RN
16 June 2003 (Monday) -- 1330-2200/Frontierland RN
17 June 2003 (Tuesday) -- 1730-0200/NO Area RN
18 June 2003 (Wednesday) -- 1430-2300/Adventureland ST
19 June 2003 (Thursday) -- 1430-2300/Adventureland ST

I don't know if anything is planned yet for Friday or Saturday. I doubt they'll give me a sixth day this early in the summer, but we'll see!

Well, Blogger is down, so I'm writing this in Notepad and will transfer it later. Here's my schedule for next week (finally)!

8 June 2003 (Sunday) -- 1800-2400 in the Star Trader (HW)
10 June 2003 (Tuesday) -- 1600-2100 in the Star Trader (HW)
13 June 2003 (Friday) -- 1845-2245 in the Mad Hatter/Fantasyland (HW)

I've decided, BTW, to start using some of the acronyms that show up on my schedule at work, rather than writing them out. They're listed below -- and I'm adding them to the sidebar, too. I'm also including some acronyms I might use and not explain in day-to-day posting.

HW -- Hat Writer
RN -- Stock Runner
DCA -- Disney's California Adventure
DL [or DLP] -- Disneyland [Park]
DLR -- The Disneyland Resort
CM -- Cast Member

I'm sure I'll think of more later. I'm also considering drawing a crude map, so you can see which locations I mean when I reference them (e.g. "Mickey & Friends" or "the 15-minute drop-off zone") I can't upload it until I pay Boomspeed (or find yet another image host).

Just a quick FYI, if anyone wants to say anything about the SarahFinder -- including anything about meets or shouting "HEY, UPDATE THE DARNED THING ALREADY" -- please use the "comment on this post!" links, located at the end of each byline (after the time of posting). I'll have the schedule for next week up tomorrow, I swear.

OKay. I admit it, I've fallen off the SarahFinder wagon a bit. But starting with me, starting with this new schedule, I promise to keep up with it! BTW, the problem with the May 6th update (where I had "April" written instead of "May") has been corrected. No wonder everyone thought I hadn't updated in a month.

1 June (Sunday) -- 1045-1915 in the Once Upon a Time store in Fantasyland
6 June (Friday) -- 1915-0015 in the Gag Factory
7 June (Saturday) -- Working from 1745-2215 in the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland; there's actually a REALLY long time when I'll be at a meeting in Tomorrowland and unavailable though. If you want to buy a hat from yours truly, come by the Mad Hatter around 8pm.
8 June (Sunday) -- meeting at the "C" in "California" at 10:00am to sign three people into DL. I know I'm working that day, but I can't find my notes. I'll add the shifts I've got for the rest of this week when they're put online.

I expect to add more shifts this week, and don't have any other plans besides that, really. I might end out working this next Grad Nite -- we'll see.

This freakin' blog has been IMPOSSIBLE to update. Don't ask me why. Anyway, here goes.

8 May (Thursday) -- 1400-2000 in the Star Trader
10 May (Saturday) -- 1130-2000 in the Gag Factory
14 May (Wednesday) -- 1800-???? at the Hollywood and Highland complex, waiting for/watching/discussing The Matrix Reloaded.
16 May (Friday) -- 0100-0700 in the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland (that's Thursday night/Friday morning, peeps)

So far, all I have for the week ending with May 3rd (Saturday) is a shift on Monday, April 28th. From 3:15 until 7:30pm, I'll be in the funky camera booth across from "It's a Small World." Then I'll be at the Golden Horseshoe, enjoying time with fellow Flashback alumni, until late.

Okay, the new schedule came out tonight. This one is for the week ending April 26th (Saturday)...

20 April (Sunday) -- no plans so far, I might actually have a chance at going to church of all places.
21 April (Monday) -- 1645-2200 at the Gag Factory in Toontown, as a Hat Writer. This will be my very first regularly scheduled shift as a Hat Writer.
22 April (Tuesday) -- 1200-1730 at the Star Trader in Tomorrowland.
23 April (Wednesday) -- 1645-2200 at the Gag Factory in Toontown as a Hat Writer.
24 April (Thursday) -- 1630-2414 at the Hatmosphere in Tomorrowland as a Hat Writer.
25 April (Friday) -- 2000-2400 at the Star Trader in Tomorrowland.
26 April (Saturday) -- no plans at this time. I'll probably try and catch a ride on the Pirates of the Carribean, which is going down on the 28th.

So, you want to find me. That's easy enough, just check the SarahFinder. Yeah, I know. Don't get me started. It's just easier doing this than cross-posting everywhere, okay? A few basic reminders: my cell phone stays off while I'm onstage and working at Disneyland, when I'm at the movies, when I'm in class, etc. Unless I say it's going to be on, it won't be.

This post is for the weeks ending April 13th and 20th (Sunday):
8 April (Tuesday) -- 1600-2200 shift at the Star Trader has been CANCELLED. I'll be at home until around 4pm, then at the movies. My cell phone will be off.
9 April (Wednesday) -- CHANGE OF PLANS! I got a shift for today, at Owl Photo (the Splash Mountain photo purchase location, across from Pooh Corner), 845-1715. My cell phone will be off.
10 April (Thursday) -- CHANGE OF PLANS! I decided to push my final exam to May 7th, and picked up a shift! 830-1700 at the Premier Shop in Tomorrowland. Pins, people, PINS!
11 April (Friday) -- no plans at this time. Likely to be online. Might come and catch the first night of Spring Break fireworks (fireworks are apparently scheduled every day from now until the 27th!) My cell phone will be on.
12 April (Saturday) -- 915-1330 shift as a bag checker at the Disneyland Main Entrance. Look for me in the generic costume for the entrances...
13 April (Sunday) -- 1200-1730 shift at the Star Trader (Tomorrowland). Look for me in the hideous costume. Afterwards I'll likely play in the parks, probably catch the fireworks and maybe even the Electrical Parade. My cell phone will be on after 6pm.
14 April (Monday) -- 1800-2600 shift at the Star Trader (Tomorrowland). Same hideous costume. I might come and play in the parks early on Monday, but seeing as how I'll be working for three hours after park closing, it's sort of unlikely.
15 April (Tuesday) -- CHANGE OF PLANS! I just picked up (this is on Wednesday the 9th) a shift for the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland, 1600-2230. Look for me in the floral print skirt and usual Fantasyland gear, between Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Alice In Wonderland/the Teacups.
16 April (Wednesday) -- 1530-2330 shift at... the Star Trader (sob). Probably won't be playing in the park today unless someone sets something up.
17 April (Thursday) -- no plans at this time. Likely to be at home online. My cell phone will be on.
18 April (Friday) -- ditto.
19 April (Saturday) -- CHANGE OF PLANS! Now I'm working from 1630 to 0100 in the Mad Hatter in Fantasyland. Come buy a hat.
20 April (Sunday) -- no plans yet; the schedule doesn't come out until this Friday.
